Welcome Dr. Tonia Lediju: Marin Housing Authority’s New Executive Director
After conducting a nationwide recruitment, Tonia Lediju, PhD is the candidate selected by Marin Housing Authority’s Board of Commissioners to serve as Marin Housing Authority's new Executive Director. The recruitment process included multiple rounds of interviews that included subject matter experts in the field of MHA’s mission and services, executive leaders from community stakeholder agencies, County department leaders, and the full MHA Board of Commissioners.
Dr. Tonia Lediju has over 30 years of public sector experience that includes 20 years of executive level experience, and most recently five years of experience as the Chief Executive Officer of one of the nation’s largest and most complex authorities - the Housing Authority of the City and County of San Francisco. Dr. Lediju led this organization through a multi-year organizational transition restoring stability and guiding them out of federal oversight. Dr. Lediju’s experience also includes experience with RAD conversion and overseeing capital initiatives. Her prior experience included 10 years as the Chief Audit Executive with the City and County of San Francisco.
Dr. Lediju earned her Doctor of Philosophy in Organizational Systems from Saybrook University, a Master of Arts in Leadership from St. Mary’s College of California, and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from California Baptist University. She has also received numerous commendations and recognition awards.
