In November 2022, the Marin Housing Board of Commissioners approved an opportunity that focuses on providing more services and other forms of investment for the long-term residents of Golden Gate Village (GGV). A key initiative from the Commission’s commitment is specifically through the creation of the GGV Resident Empowerment Fund (Fund). The goal of the GGV Resident Empowerment Fund is to provide enhanced services to GGV residents that would expand economic opportunities, such as pathways to homeownership, wealth creation, debt forgiveness, job training, and education.

The Golden Gate Village Resident Empowerment Fund was created to ensure that residents play a central role in defining how funding is invested in their community, with a focus on expanding economic opportunity, improving health and wellbeing, and supporting long-term stability.
