The Marin Housing Authority (“MHA”) is Seeking a Consultant to act as a Public Housing Modernization Project Manager.

MHA is a small, dynamic agency, well-respected in our field. We serve thousands of people through a wide range of programs and services, including public housing for families, seniors and the disabled; housing choice vouchers (Section 8); supportive housing services for special needs populations; rental assistance payments; and financial and technical assistance for moderate-income first-time homebuyers and low-income homeowners. We have about 50 employees.
 
The consultant will oversee capital improvement projects for MHA public housing properties, including developing scopes of work, soliciting, and evaluating bids from contractors, monitoring project progress, and ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet all regulatory requirements. Projects will be public housing capital improvements funded with Capital Grants and other projects which may be funded with non-Capital Grants. Frequent and regular on-site meetings at our public housing properties and main office building to meet with vendors and residents, conduct property condition assessments and inspections, and perform related duties. Collaborate with property management staff to identify capital needs and prioritize projects that will improve the overall quality and sustainability of public housing properties. Work and communicate under the direction of the Director of Asset Management on capital projects and contracts ((please see the below Request For Proposal (RFP) for the official Scope of Work/Service)).
