Orientation session for new members
An initial orientation session will be held on October 23, 2023
BECOME A COMMITTEE MEMBER FOR THE GGV EMPOWERMENT FUND
- You live at Golden Gate Village
- You are at least 15 1/2 years old
- You are not an elected official or the senior leader of a local nonprofit
- You can commit to a total of 6 meetings - during business hours, evenings and/ or Saturdays
- You are available for a 6- month commitment
- You can read and review documents in English
WHY YOU’LL MAKE A GREAT CONTRIBUTION
- You know what is needed in your community, as you live at GGV!
- You are open to learning about people and organizations’ efforts in the community
- You are passionate about collaborating with the committee, residents and staff
- You want to bridge the difference between conflicting ideas by engaging in deep group discussions
- You are open to providing input to ensure the Fund supports residents’ needs
NO PRIOR EXPERIENCE IN PHILANTHROPY, GRANTMAKING OR NONPROFITS IS NECESSARY
We will train and support our Committee members along the way!
