Glass vs Plastic

Recycle

Bottled water did not appear until the 18th century when glass bottling grew rapidly as major bottling companies in the United States were established.

In U.S. grocery stores, as late as the 1970s and '80s, soft drinks came packaged exclusively in glass bottles. These bottles could then be returned to supermarkets for recycling for a few cents.

There is already a strong and growing global interest in returning to using this recyclable glass bottling system. The recycled glass market is projected to grow significantly as a result.

Water

In 2016, more than 480 bilion plastic drinking water bottles were sold worldwide, 60% higher than a decade earlier. 97% of all water sold globally is packaged in plastic bottles.

It is worth noting that drinking water from plastic bottles means we are probably drinking microplastics foo ...

Common Seasonal Allergy Triggers

If you sneeze and cough during certain times of the year, you may have seasonal allergies. However, occasional allergies aren’t something you just have to live with. In many areas of the United States, spring allergies begin in February and last until the early summer. Tree pollination begins earliest in the year followed by grass pollination later in the spring and summer and ragweed in the late summer and fall.

Mild winter temperatures can cause plants to pollinate early. You can choose to keep them out of your home and decorate with artificial versions instead. A rainy spring can also promote rapid plant growth and lead to an increase in mold, causing symptoms to last well into the fall.

Season Allergy Management and Treatment

If you feel like you're always getting sick, with a cough or head congestion, it’s time to see an allergist. You may think you're sure pollen is causing your suffering, but other substances may be involved as well.

More than two-thirds of spring allergy sufferers actually have year-round symptoms. Your best resource for finding what’s causing your suffering and stopping it, not just treating the symptoms, is an allergist who will help you avoid your triggers!
