March meeting minutes approved
Items of discussion:
- Commissioner Letter? Regina states she sent the letter, via email. Michael will review and have an update at next RAB meeting 5/2026
- New MHA Executive Director Hired: Tonia Lediju. She plans to meet with the MHA/RAB via Zoom 5/2026. Ms. Lediju brings 30 years of experience with her. SF Housing Authority, Vallejo City Counsel, as well as a State Audit Controller.
- Annual Plan Schedule: Kathleen reports July/2026 is when we must bring the Annual Plan update to the Board of Commissioners. The RAB to Review and Comment in May and June. Possible 5/2026 a Preview, Review in June.
GGV Concerns:
Royce reports: Parking issues while undesignated parking is in effect. Michelle will meet w/ Marin County Sheriffs Dept. on these issues in May 2026.
Burbank is scheduled to move forward in May as well.
RC Update: 2014 M.O.U. discusses a review every 3yrs. per 24 CFR 135. Denied the Rights of the Residents to form, and Elections to do so. Royce reports Kimberly Carroll did not Respond before Departing MHA.
Michelle Responded and stated the new Executive Director will meet and work with the RC/ Royce.
Royce expressed and clarified Regulations and Residents’ Rights be included and concerns be added in relation to the M.O.U.
Michelle Further noted the parking issues are being addressed with the Sheriff's Dept. All cars need to be registered with MHA. Further discussion w/this.
Royce expressed her appreciation for Michelle’s assistance with the Residents’ concerns.
Thos Agrees that his housing has dilapidated signs in parking areas
Michelle will address this issue. She works with MCSD to solve these parking problems. She would like residents to contact her personally.
Royce Replied, she will help a Resident that comes to her…
Michael Requested a meeting w/ Royce and Tonia. Tabled until May meeting.
OPEN Discussions:
Mark: Asked if there were plans for any new MH/PH projects. Hopes projects now and in the near future are productive.
Kathleen Reports no new public housing. Project Based Vouchers replaced that.
Kevin joined. Michael updated him on the meeting. Kevin reports he will not be able to attend the May RAB Meeting due to work.
Michael Update: Meeting at the Capitol was an experience. He learned and met private developers to provide housing. Prefab construction for additional housing. Allocate funds until 2030 in Marin and California for more housing. Workforce housing.
Thos: Will meet with Michael about the RAB letterhead.
Mark Announced: He may be leaving the RAB as he is running for the Board of Supervisors. Focusing on affordable housing. If elected it would be a conflict of interest to remain on the RAB. The RAB wishes Mark good Luck and Congratulations
Reminder: May and June will be an estimated date to Review the Annual Plan.
