REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS/PROPOSALS
FOR CONSTRUCTION OWNER’S REPRESENTATIVES (COR)

It has been brought to our attention that there was a discrepancy in the due date of the Construction Owner’s Representative (COR) RFQ/P on our web site. The web site indicated the proposals are due Thursday, February 24 th but the 24 th is a Wednesday. Due to this discrepancy we are extending the due date of the proposals to Thursday, February 25 th, 2010 at 3pm.

The Housing Authority of the County of Marin (Marin Housing or MHA), a public corporation, owns or operates 10 multi-family or senior/disabled rental housing apartment complexes. MHA will be undertaking modernization, capital improvements and non-routine maintenance at its housing developments over the next two years. Contracts for modernization/capital improvement and non-routine maintenance work will be awarded in separate task orders on an as needed basis and to contractors by property and will require Davis Bacon wage compliance.

It is the intent of Marin Housing to select one or more Construction Owner’s Representatives (COR) on the basis of responses received to the enclosed Request for Qualifications/Proposals. The COR(s) shall be available on an as needed basis to provide professional consulting services commencing in March, 2010 and continuing over a two-year period if the Authority continues to be satisfied with the individual/firm’s on-going performance.

Proposals for the COR are due at 3:00 p.m. on February 24th, 2010 at Marin Housing’s central office at 4020 Civic Center Drive, San Rafael, CA 94903. (See RFQ for specific directions).

Please note that you will NOT be notified of any additional notifications, relating to this Invitation for proposals. All questions and clarifications shall be submitted to MHA no later than 2:00 p.m. on February 18th, 2010. All responses to any questions submitted before 2:00 p.m. on February 19th, 2010 and any other notifications, etc. will be posted on the MHA web site so BE SURE TO CHECK THIS WEB PAGE AFTER FEB 19 TH AFTER 2:00 P.M. FOR THE RESPONSES TO RFP QUESTIONS AND ANY ADDITIONAL NOTIFICATIONS.

Invitations for Bidding:  

REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS/PROPOSALS FOR GENERAL CONTRACTOR (GC) for Modernization and Capital Improvements.

Invitation for Bid

The Housing Authority of the County of Marin (Marin Housing or MHA), a public corporation, owns or operates 10 multi-family or senior/disabled rental housing apartment complexes. MHA will be undertaking modernization, capital improvements and non-routine maintenance at its housing developments over the next two years. During this period, contracts for the modernization/capital improvements work will be done in separate task orders by property and will require Davis Bacon wage compliance. At the time a specific task is identified a Letter of Intent (LOI) will be issued to one of the selected GC’s from this initial RFP process and then MHA will execute an LOI to that GC for bidding on that particular task. A sample task is included in this RFP for which interested GC’s will submit competitive qualifications/proposals in this RFP.

The Housing Authority will receive proposals until 3:00 p.m. on the 18th day of February, 2010 for this RFP at the Housing Authority Central Office located at 4020 Civic Center Drive, San Rafael, California.

Please note that you will NOT be notified of any additional notifications, RFI’s, Addendums, etc. relating to this Invitation to BID. All questions and clarifications shall be submitted to MHA no later than 2:00 p.m. on February 11th, 2010. While these forms are not part of our scoring criteria they are a requirement of the RFQ/P package.  General Contractors will be required to use and complete these forms in conjunction with any contract work they are awarded with MHA.
